Tunnel Kulch: clay and marl, limestone-marl alternation (Early Jurassic – „Lias“), quarternary slope loam
Tunnel Lichtenholz: silty clay/marl/limestone (Lias), sandstone and clay with silty layers (Upper Keuper – „Rhaet“, Middle Keuper – “Feuerletten”); Swelling-parameters (Huder-Amberg) 7.5% - 30%
